Main Street Spring Fling was a good time

We had a good time at the Main Street Spring Fling.
I shared a booth with the MVCA:
 and a screen printer:
and a lady who drew cartoons:
and a tote maker:
It was a good time. All the rain didn't effect our mood and fun...

...But don't just take my word for it. Check other another blog post about it:

Finding a new home...

Today, I have another mixed media piece finding its way to its new home.
This work won Juror's Choice in 2010's FMCC Student Show in Johnstown, New York and 2nd Place Mixed Media Division in 2010's Central Adirondack Art Show in Old Forge, New York.
It is a mixed media painting/quilt of my grandmother completed on the 11th anniversary of her passing.
This went to my aunt and her husband who I am confident will love it and respect it.

Seriously Surprised!

Seriously Surprised at the volume of people web searching the terms "water bottle doll"!!!
We all remember the pics of my attempt at turning a water bottle into a doll!
If you don't remember then just 'Google images' the phrase "water bottle doll" and you will find a link back to this blog and the original post!
I think I will try my hand at it again soon. I think I can do better.

So, I found a few other very interesting posts that I thought I would share:
The Magic Bean has a beautiful felted wrapped water bottle doll.

FRONTIER PLUNDER Indian Trading Post has a bead covered maple syrup bottle.

we heart art had waters bottles turned into Ndebele Dolls.

Olympia Dumpster Divers has the most interesting bottle figures of them all!!!

Who knew water bottle dolls are so rare, unique and sought after?!
