Do you want to own one of my original pieces???

I will be staffing the Mohawk Valley Creative Alliance's booth at the Amsterdam Spring Fling on May 21st!

I will come with a variety of items, I made, for sale! Carol will also be staffing the booth and doing character sketches! (Who doesn't love a goofy drawing of them self!)

The America's Best Western Hotel is booked full for that weekend (approx 500 guest?). They will be here attending the Professional Wrestling 10th Annual Induction Ceremony. The city is expecting hundreds more to follow the Classic Car Show, the Motorcycle Show, and the band "The Rogues".
Plus the street festival with vendors, artist, crafters, musicians, sales at the local shops in that area, etc... This could be BIG!   Please pray for great weather!!!

And plan to come out, meet me, check out my inventory in person, and have a great time!!
Maybe I should make a few vinyl bound, bendable wrestler dolls? lol

Special Guest Post - My Son played "I Spy"...

My son played "I Spy with his Wednesday Eye" with my camera, while his dad looked at my brakes. He took almost 60 photos!! I can't post them all, but here are a few.

He is really getting much better - at this rate he will be better then his mommy and his auntie in no time!

(But auntie has kept a camera in his fingers since he was a tot... so he has had a ton of practice!)

I Spy with my Wednesday Eye

They looked at my brakes today...

When I got home I did my "I spy" in the garden again, because I like the photographic progression of the spring growth.

Modern Twist to a Victorian Flower Cone

The directions were easy enough: stamp pretty paper, roll into cone shape and glue, glue on lace at top glitter on bottom, use brads to attach a ribbon to hang it, and fill with spring flowers... but could I follow simple directions?! Of course not! BUT my way took way toooo long! (yesterday and today!!) Next time I am doing it their way!

So here is another one... I followed the directions... didn't have any more flowers so I made a paper bird, added a feather and other embellishments for the inside.

I Spy with my Sunday Eye - Comic Con!

Besides taking photos of some amazing costumes and"toys", I met many wonderful artists!

I met the guy who did the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Bionicles when they came out. My son had all of the at one point! His name is Randy Elliot. He has done many other projects and is currently teaching art at a community college - can you imagine going to class to discover your teacher is an illustrator for comic books?

Met a sculptor, Paul Harding, who is a friend of a friend. So I introduced myself.

And I ran into an old friend Chris (who better "friend" me on Facebook link on bottom of page - lol). He made a replica of R2D2! It was complete with noises and movements - very cool. He is part of a Star Wars group that has very authentic looking customes and all sorts of star wars things. As you can tell by my photos, I liked their costumes the best!

Another wonderful illustrator was there with his work and was very good, but I didn't catch his name. He was bouncing his little girl on his lap and I said I liked his work and he said - she was his masterpiece! Awww.

I spoke to so many creative people but those are the ones I thought worth mentioning - who had the best personalities and work.

You could look up two other illustrators who work is worth looking at - but they obviously didn't want to have conversations with people.  I can't hate on them too much, their work is actually good: Christopher Uminga and Matthew J. Fletcher.

New creations!

My newest doll - made from paper, wire, old fabric and old lace. Buttons for eyes and yarn for hair.
This little ballerina has moving arms and legs. She looks cute in a split. Or with help from a doll stand she can be posed in a few dancing positions.

Up-cycled Book -
Star Trek book, gutted and remade into a purse.

Don't forget that Earth Day is this month! Do a creative project that is recycled, up-cycled, re-purposed.
